Using Zettle with your PayPal Business account?
If you're using Zettle with your PayPal Business account, the processes for your balance and receiving your funds differs from what is described in this article. You can read more on PayPal.com/help.
In your statement on my.zettle.com, we round up all the activity from your Zettle account so that you can easily keep track of important information such as your cleared payments and deposits.
Deposits
Deposits include all the transactions that we’ve cleared since your last deposit. Read more on when to expect your deposit here.
Incoming payments
Only transactions that have been cleared by the bank will be shown in your list of deposits. Payments that have not yet been cleared by the bank will appear as a lump sum at the top of the list.
You can see all your payments (cleared & not cleared, card & cash payments) on the “Receipts” page when you log into my.zettle.com.
Reserved for refunds
To issue a refund on a payment, you need to have sufficient funds in your Zettle account e.g. the account balance must be at least the same as the amount that you want to refund.
In your general settings, you can set a minimum balance to make sure that you have enough funds reserved in your bank account for refunds.
Balance
In the “Balance” column you can see your accumulated balance at a specific period in time. After a deposit has been made to your bank account (daily, monthly or weekly), the balance is usually zero. If not, you can see how much money is still due in your Zettle account.
Note that if you have reserved an amount for refunds the balance will never be zero.
Type of transactions
You can view all of the following events in chronological order, or filter specific transaction types:
- Card payment
- Fee
- Deposits to bank account
- Transaction fee cash backs (in regards to pricing)
- Cash advance
