The Zettle Terminal is an all-in-one solution, meaning that it runs the Zettle app (POS) and takes card payments, so there’s no need to use both a phone/tablet and card reader.
The Terminal runs the Zettle Go app, which is exactly like the one you might use on your phone or tablet today - but now you can use the device to take payments too!
If you want to manage your products (upload pictures, add barcodes, etc.) you can use my.zettle.com on a laptop or tablet and your changes will sync with the Terminal automatically.
Getting started
How do I turn on the Terminal?
Press the power button located on the top of your Terminal. If you’re using the Terminal for the first time, please follow the instructions presented on the screen. The instructions will help you to quickly set up your new device.
Please note: During the initial set up of your Terminal, you need to be connected to a wifi network and can’t rely on the SIM card. This is only for the initial set up and after that, you can use the SIM card alone.
How do I turn off the Terminal?
Press the power button located on the top of your Terminal. You will see two options to Power off or Restart.
How do I charge my Terminal using the cable?
- Connect the USB-C cable to the charging port located on the right-hand side of the Terminal.
- Connect the USB-C cable to the adapter and plug it into a power outlet.
- The battery symbol in your status bar will indicate that the Terminal is charging.
Note: We recommend to use the provided USB-C cable and power adapter included in your box.
You can fully charge your Terminal in about 90 minutes using the charging cable and adapter included.
How do I navigate the Terminal?
You can use a range of swiping gestures to navigate around the Terminal quickly.
Navigate to the Home screen
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
Navigate back
Swipe towards the middle of your screen from either the left or right edge and you’ll return to the last page you were on.
General settings
How do I change the language?
During the initial setup, you will be asked to select a language. This can be changed later in the Terminal settings.
- Go to your home screen and tap on Settings
- Tap on General and then Language
How do I change the location?
During the initial setup, you will be asked to select a location. This can be changed later in the Terminal settings.
- Go to your home screen and tap on Settings
- Tap on General and then Location
When you change the location, the choice will affect the date and time for your Terminal automatically.
How do I change the time and date?
The time and date will adjust automatically to your selected location when setting up your terminal for the first time. If you want to manually change the time and date, go Settings > General and toggle off Set automatically.
How do I adjust the volume?
- Go to your home screen and tap on Settings
- Tap on Sound and drag the slider until you are satisfied with the sound level.
How do I adjust the brightness of the screen?
- Go to your home screen and tap on Settings
- Tap on Display and drag the slider until you are satisfied with the brightness level
You can also pull down the panel from the top of your screen and access the brightness slider.
